Honey Glazed Ham

I have been searching for different kinds of glaze for our Christmas Ham this year.  We tried our first one yesterday (from allrecipes.com). It had great flavor, mildly sweet and very simple ingredients.

5 pound Ham
1/8 c. whole cloves
2 c. honey
2/3 c. butter
1/4 c. corn syrup

* Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  In a double boiler (or a glass bowl over a pan with water, making sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl) melt honey, butter and corn syrup and whisk until smooth.  Keep warm while ham is baking.

* Place ham on foil lined baking sheet.  Cut small slices all over ham and push in whole cloves.  Brush glaze on ham with pastry brush.  Place in oven for 1 hour 30 min.  Baste the ham with warm glaze every 15 minutes.  During the last 4-5 minutes of baking, turn on your broiler to carmelize the glaze.  Remove from oven and let rest a few minutes before slicing.
