Bacon Cheddar Biscuits

The other day I felt like biscuits and wanted something that was a little more substantial than our normal fare.  I found these on Pioneer Woman and they were wonderful.  They were so pretty and tasted great, and would go great with dinner or breakfast.

2 c. Flour
1 t. Baking powder
3/4 t. Salt
1/4 c. Crisco (I like butter flavor)
10 T. Whole milk
4 T. Vegetable oil
1 Egg
10 slices bacon, cooled and crumbled
1 c. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated

* Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  In medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.  Cut in shortening with pastry blender, until completely combined.  In small bowl whisk together milk, oil,  and egg.    Add bacon and cheese to flour mixture and then mix in milk mixture.  Stir gently till combined.  Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake for 20-22 minutes or until golden brown.
