Sugar Cookies

My grandma Jewel was known for her sugar cookies.  They were always moist, soft, and so delicious.  This recipe has been handed down for several generations and is my absolute favorite sugar cookie recipe.  I have several different ones and I always come back to this one.  I am definitely a soft sugar cookie kind of girl so if that's you too then this one is perfect.

4 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 t. vanilla
7 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda

* Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy, 2-3 minutes.  Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each one.  Add sour cream and vanilla and mix until thoroughly incorporated.

* In large bowl mix dry ingredients and add to sour cream mixture.  Mix well.  Chill in refrigerator for 1-2 hours.  On floured surface roll out cookie dough, atleast 1/4" thick.  Cut into your favorite shapes and place on greased cookie sheets and bake for 10-11 minutes.  After remving from the oven let sit on cookie sheets for 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
